EasyLive is a cloud-based live streaming production studio.

Prepping the Overlays

Before you can output your overlays with EasyLive, you have to prep them in Studio. If you already know how to do this, skip this step.

Preparing Your Singular Overlays in Studio

A - Log into Singular, Download a Theme

Sign up for Singular (if you haven't already), log in to your Dashboard, and download a free theme from the Marketplace. To access the Marketplace, hit the "New" button in the upper left corner and select "Market".

B - Open up your theme into Studio, prepare your overlays.

Right click on your newly downloaded theme, select "Open with" and then choose "Studio". This is the Control Application you will use to prepare and operate your live overlays.

Prepare your overlays by choosing the "Auto Playlist" button from the three dot menu in the upper right corner and then updating the contents of the overlays within the Overlay Editor.

Outputting with EasyLive

Getting your Singular overlays into EasyLive to add it to your production workflow can be done in the following 5 simple steps:

1 - Login to EasyLive, enter a live stream, navigate to "Production Studio"

Create a new live stream or enter an existing one.

Then navigate to the "Production studio"

2 - Add video layer

Add in your video layer. Click on the "Add an Element" button and then select an option appropriate for your video. We have added a pre-recorded clip but you'll likely be adding a live video source from the "Input" side panel menu.

3 - Add Singular layer on separate line

Click on the "Add new line" plus button. Then select the "Add an Element" larger button, click "Webpage" in the left panel of the pop-up menu and then choose Singular.live.

You'll be prompted to add a url.

Copy your show's Output URL from the "Share" menu of your Control Application.

Then head back to EasyLive. Paste in your Output URL into the designated field. Once fully loaded, your show's overlays should appear. Make sure to drag this new Singular layer above your video layer within EasyLive so your overlays are on top of your video.

If you are having issues seeing your overlays in the preview window, check to make sure that you have clicked on your new overlay layer and that an overlay is taken on-air in your Control Application.

4 - Go to "Test", have layers in output

Go to "Test" mode (button in upper right corner says "Start Test"). Then, make sure you overlay layer and video layer are both live by clicking on the arrow button between the preview and output window.

5 - Start Publishing and Record

Hit "Start Publishing and Record" to stream to your destination.
